Passionate about living fully, LaFern Batie is a professional coach and speaker whose purpose is to inspire others to maximize their potential through mental development, spiritual growth and leading fulfilled lives. As the CEO of The Batie Group, LLC, LaFern lives her mission through a successful coaching practice and sharing with others through speaking, writing and seminars. 

With over 20 years of corporate and civic leadership experience, LaFern has worked with many clients and leading international organizations. She has led leadership development and training, organizational effectiveness and personal skills enhancement initiatives for businesses and individuals. LaFern is a Lore International Institute® certified leadership coach and Coach University student. Using effective communication, a disciplined approach and assessment resources, she facilitates development by partnering with clients to help them uncover their knowledge and achieve the desired transformation. 

While always exuding an entrepreneurial spirit, LaFern’s professional background includes accounting and operations management in numerous industries. In her quest to share her passion for lifelong learning and growth, LaFern develops and conducts communication, personal success and marketing workshops including the notable seminar, “Marketing Brand You™”. Additionally, she is a sought-after speaker for organizations including Women in Technology International and a mentor for WOMEN Unlimited, a national leadership organization. LaFern is a member of the National Speakers Association, the International Coach Federation, the Society for Human Resource Management and a lifetime and founding member of the National Association of African Americans in Human Resources, Tampa Bay. She serves in various leadership roles within local business and professional organizations. LaFern earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Salisbury University, an MBA from the University of Maryland and is a certified Professional in Human Resources. 

In her spare time, LaFern enjoys traveling, spending time with family, serving in the church and engaging in community service. LaFern and her husband live in the Tampa, Florida area.
